Ian is the Vice President of Informa Markets Asia. Ian manages businesses in ASEAN and Hospitality Food and Beverage Portfolio and also the Packaging Portfolio. Ian has worked in the exhibitions industry for over 23 years, working across many geographies, particularly in SE Asia including 15 years based in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. He joined Allworld Exhibitions in 1997 originally working on shows in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. He moved to Malaysia in 2000 as the General Manager for Malaysian Exhibition Services and in 2007 to Indonesia as Managing Director of PT Pamerindo Indonesia, Indonesia’s largest trade fair organiser. In 2012 he was Managing Director of the Allworld Exhibitions Group, prior to the sale to UBM in 2016. In 2017 he moved to Singapore as the Regional Executive Director of UBM ASEAN before heading back to London in 2019, where he now heads up one of Informa’s largest industry verticals.
